Newbies!

Good Afternoon Revengies!!!

We cannot even begin to tell you how excited we are. Two reasons...

ONE
- We are doing a photoshoot tomorrow with a well known local artist. What's even more exciting about this shoot is that we are using models of all shapes, sizes, and colors. This is something that is almost never done in the world of fashion and beauty. To be able to fully display the individual beauty that every woman possesses is remarkable and something we strive for.

TWO
- We just got done shopping for lots of new products! We bought foundation (liquid and powder), blushes (mousse and powder), and lots of lipsticks from brands Maybelline, L'Oreal, and Revlon.

It's not fair for just us to be excited so we wanted to share this excitement with you! So we have made up an extensive review of the products for you. Enjoy :)

Maybelline FIT me! Powders

We are huge fans of the Maybelline FIT line, but have never tried the powders. They come in a sleek black box, with an under compartment for the applicator and mirror. ($7.99 at CVS)
(L to R on arm: 310 Sun Beige, 235 Pure beige, 230 Natural Buff, 220 Natural Beige, 135 Creamy Natural)

The powder went on really smoothly and didn't cake. It blended really well so it was almost hard to even tell we had makeup on.

As mentioned before we love Maybelline FIT, we use the liquid foundation all the time. It applys smooth and evenly. It doesn't feel to heavy or like we are wearing lots of makeup. ($7.99 at CVS)

With and Without flash
(L to R on arm: 310 Sun Beige, 220 Natural Beige, 235 Pure beige, 135 Creamy Natural, 120 Classic Ivory)

What's particularly great about this line is that all of the FIT products (concealer, liquid foundation, powders, blushes) come in so many colors. There is a color for every type of person. We know that for non-caucasian makeup users, the choices are slim, but FIT has it all. Riana Nicole uses 10 Concealer, 110 Liquid foundation, 110 Powder, and Light Pink blush. L'Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Blush

These blushes are fairly large, which is good considering the price ($10.49 at CVS). Each color has on it whether it is suited for warm, cool, or neutral toned skin, which proves to be very helpful. They also come in a container with a bottom part for a brush and mirror. The applicator brushes were pretty much worthless in our oppinion but the blush went on well. It went on soft which allowed for varying intensity options. In the picture we put a lot on so you would be able to see the colors. All in all these are a good blush.

(L to R: Soft Sun, Innocent Flush, Rosy Outlook)

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush

We are always a little skeptical about non-powder blushes. This blush is a powder-gel blush which means that it goes on like cream and looks like powder on the face. ($6.99 at Target). It works best as a 'base' blush. It layers well and provides for a glow, rather than a blush like appearance. It's very easy to apply and blend using your fingers (which we don't like to do) so maybe this would work better as a to-go or emergency blush.
(L to R in picture: 10 Pink Frosting, 50 Plum Wine, 30 Candy Coral)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick

We love lipstick, but it's not easy for everyone to wear because it tends to dry out lips. Revlon has been around this long for a reason though so they have to be doing something right, right? This lipstick didn't dry our lips out and it stayed for quite a while. It was a little waxy but it has excellent pigmentation. Some of them have a shiny finish, so if that's not what you are going for then stick the the matte colors. ($7.99 at CVS). In the pictures we did three swipes of each so the color would show in the photo.
*oops: 435 Love That Pink is pictured twice*
(L to R first picture: 325 Toast of New York, 025 Sky Line Pink, 646 Sultry Sable, 423 Pink Velvet, 628 Peach Me, 003 Mauve It Over, 027 Violet Frenzy, 013 Smoked Peach, 663 Va Va Violet, 026 Abstract Orange, 467 Plum Baby)
(L to R second picture: 720 Fire & Ice, 660 Berry Haute, 435 Love That Pink, 631 Luminous Pink, 457 Wild Orchid, 225 Rosewine, 435 Love That Pink, 634 Sparkling Cider, 668 Primrose, 677 Siren)

All in all we really liked our new products. We will see how our models like them tomorrow at our shoot. Wish us luck!
